One of the greatest albums ever. Period. This version is the best available. Warmer than the newer 40th Anniversary edition remixed by Steve Wilson. Stick with this one.

From start to finish, this is a brilliant album. You must get this on vinyl so you can read the fold out newspaper. Ian Anderson is in top vocal form and the band is in top form as well, especially John Evans. A must have for serious or funny Tull fans.

What a great way to get lost in the textural rock sine waves of this LP, whether driving on a road trip, running or with starting the day with coffee and a newspaper. I love Van Morrison albums during these moments too, but this album injects its own version of caffeine to the experience.

I download this album some time ago. I backed all of my music in the cloud and now iCloud said it couldn't download it, to big. I lost this Album! I love it, so I'll have to buy a disk! Be careful when you buy this album and buy storage!

Above all a masterpiece of music and musicality. Concerning its origins front man, Ian Anderson, has stated that their previous release, Aqualung, had garnered the label "concept album" and in his mind it was no such thing. Thick as a Brick was his way of showing the world what a real "concept album" was. "the album was a spoof to the albums of Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, much like what the movie Airplane! had been to Airport," Ian Anderson said in a telephone interview in the late '90s.
  • Why can't I give this more stars!?

I've personally been a huge fan of long songs, but this by far is my absolute favorite long song, maybe even my favorite song all together. Like come on, what other song has a keyboard solo, drum solo, guitar solo, and flute solo. I'm shocked that I haven't heard this song long ago. I first found out about this by googling "longest classic rock songs".

Definetly a Tull Classic! This have massive overtones from what YES did during the same timeframe. An album that just continues to play...it never gets old.

A Tull Classic that's really one continuos song. This is a must have for all you Jethro Tull fans. The album is a bit dated for today's music but the lyrics are quite brilliant. Great tunes.
