  • A Great Release

Gives me that fresh, positive, hopeful and energetic feeling like I had all the time back in the day. Stereolithic was good and fairly solid, but it honestly fell short of 311 greatness (I only say that because this is my favorite band of all time and expect so much from them). The timing of Archive was just right to fill a void. This release is up there with the best of them.

I love when bands put these collections out and when you're a band like 311, there's plenty of unreleased stuff to go around. However, they did leave some tracks off this to make it complete - (White Man) At Hammersmith Palais, Dyer Maker, Take My Money, Dammit! & Unity albums, and Wandering Around. The thing I'm most grateful for with this album is the tracks are remastered and not fuzzy or low volume like the original downloads.

I pre-ordered this set a month ago and when I received it, I was overwhelmed by how much content 311 gave us fans in one awesome package. As I've grown older, I now realize that 311 (my fav band) is no longer "standing on the shoulders of giants", they are the "giants"!!! Today's bands should look up to 311 for inspiration the same way bands in the past always looked to the Beatles, Stones, Zeppelin and such. Great band, great archive of songs from the past 25 years, I couldn't ask for more! It's a steal for any 311 fan so go and buy it! Don't illegally download it because we need to support artists who think outside the box. 311 straight broke the box 25 years ago and are continuing to do so to this day. Everybody say "P-Nut"!!!
  • A must for any fan! Rare versions, demos, and unreleased songs!

Scrolling the track list you'll think "I've heard these before." Well, no you haven't. These are demos and unreleased tracks of songs that span 311's existence brought in to one awesome collection. 80 track for $40 is a steal for the quality of music packaged on Archive. If you're in the Hive, you need Archive!

25 years in and the guys are still kicking butt!! This is a fantastic thank you to the fans!!! Unreleased songs, demos, b-sides, this is better than a Greatest hits album by far, so much magic on here, just do yourself a favor and buy the Archive!! Cheers to 25 years, and hopefully another 25!! :-)
  • Slo-Mo Firewater WHYYYYYYYY?

Is there some legal reason behind why they've only ever officially released the "slo-mo" version of Firewater? I'm sure I could get it sounding normal if I edit it in some music editing program, but why should I have to do that? Just release the normal version already!!! Its so much better and would fit perfectly on the Blue album. Anyways, gripe over. Most of the rest of this stuff has been available online for some time now, but its still nice to see an official release.
