Sort of my fault. But, I came in expecting similar sound quality as Metallica’s S&M’s album…unfortunately it’s not that. Don’t get me wrong. This is a fantastic listening experience from one of my favorite bands, but I just appreciated the sounds from the band more so than the actual orchestra. In my opinion, the brass was playing far too hot for an “orchestra” setting and the mix on the strings wasn’t quite there. Nevertheless, if you are a 311 fan this is a great addition to your library.

Believe me, I wish I had been there to experience this music live, but instead I have this recording to be able to hear the orchestral set from 311 Day. It's interesting, to be sure, and there are some lovely moments. Often, though, it sounds like the cocophony made from multiple melodic tracks overlapping without synchronizing. Is it just me?

It’s not an easy thing to mix an orchestra and 311. Fortunately they chose a solid group of songs. I only wish they had done inner light spectrum. Good job!

311 have such a vast collection of songs that they could have picked a couple dozen and pulled an orchestra into the mix to make them that much more powerful. They only picked 9, but the ones they picked fit the situation very well. I agree with another person who posted saying that the mix could have been a lot better, but it was a live event. A lot of so-called "live albums" aren't even really live, (I'm talking about you Aerosmith), but this collection is the real deal. Yeah, the mix could have been better, but they captured the moment and kept it's authenticity. I'd expect nothing less from 311...

What a sound on such a magical night. Wish they released the entire 311 Day on album!

This 311 orchestra set (from 311 Day 2014) was such a magical ride… It was amazing to experience in person - and I'm so happy to be able to re-live it now! This band has no boundaries. And the recording sounds great.

Love this, so glad they record the 311 Day shows. But was this the whole set with the orchestra?? I think a few songs are missing.

Very cool but not worth the price. I am the worlds biggest 311 fan and I feel I just waisted some cash. Oh well. They are still the most amazing band around!!!!!

After Stereolithic and this, I am a very happy 311 fan. Thanks guys. Been waiting for a chill album since Transistor, and the the Unity Orchestra compliments it. Straight Hive Chillin'. .
