Loved this when I was in my 20’s and just started listening to it again after many years. Such awesome musicianship! I can’t stop playing it!

After all these years put this on today listen from 1- end and still by far one of my favorites and one of there best way better than the blue album in my opinion it’s just they step away from the rap metal that made them famous and changed it up a bit with a space sound you can really chill too
  • Still the best

Nearly 20 years later, this album still strikes many chords of my sensorium, and still sets off goosebumps! It is the zenith of 311's creativity before returning to the unfortunately mundane masses (which sadly is what makes a living in this biz). This was a kind of musical venturing in a league-of-its-own composition. Thank you, 311, for such a gift. It has touched my core.

I bought this CD the day it came out. I was a huge Music and Grassroots fan. Self-titled....not bad, but not what I was hoping for. Transistor. I HAD NO CLUE WHAT TO EFFING THINK! I had NEVER heard a band pull off such an orgy of genres. This was such an ambitious concept considering the mainstream success of the self-titled album. If anything, that showed that they were musicians first and were more interested in following their hearts than the mainstream. There is reason you don't hear bands like 311 and Phish on the radio. They are true to themselves and even truer to their fan base.

This is home grown. It is sweet electricity. The entire album is congruent, perfect stasis. I loved the whole thing, which is rare for me.
  • One of the Greatest Albums of All Time

This album goes beyond those who just like 311. There are so many facets to this album that outshine most others by any band, but it's the altogether flow, the beauty and intricacy of the songs that make it outstanding. It is different from every other 311 album. Not saying that those ones are bad, but this one is in a league of its own.
