The movie was perfect and so was the music. I could listen to it all day!

i had remembered seeing this movie and love it, but the soundtrack... my mouth dropped. after listening to these songs i could really sit down and listen to them for the rest of my life and never get bored. its basically dream inspiring. there really are no words to describe this track! Bravo!

this soundtrack is simply AMAZING!!!!! i haven't seen the movie yet but i have the soundtrack and i LOVE it!!!! i like all of the irish/scottish twists they throw in there as well!!!!!! i'm scottish!!!!!! SCOTLAND ROX!!!!

i adored the movie, and this music all went well with its paired scene. the music has a certain quality to it. some songs are fun and playful. i like it. good soundtrack.

I think this is a very good CD. It is worth every penny. I have believed in the loch ness monster since I can remember and so does my dad. I'm part Scottish and love all the Celtic sounds in here. The Fishermen has a lot of that and so does The Water Horse Suite. I also like Saving Crusoe, The Jump, and Swimming they are great songs for people who like adventure music. But really the whole thing has a lot of both Celtic and adventure music and I would not pick and choose if I were you. Get the whole thing it's worth it.

A wonderful album and movie. The score really fits the mood of the movie. I would definitely recommend buying every song on this album! :)

Looks okay, but i have another reason for writing this... i was once again looking at what itunes had on my just for you section, and they recommended this because they thought that i like the golden compass (you are not going to get me to watch that movie in a million years!) i wrote a review and gave it one *! i would have given it none it i could! if they reccommned this if you like the golden compass, i'm a little leery about getting it... i'll think about it, maybe rent it at blockbuster, since my parents have one free rental a month... maybe i'll check it out that way..., still, i'm a little leery to watch it if they reccommend it to fans of the golden compass... i don't know... movie and soundtrack i'll take a look at... i'm not so sure if itunes is going to get my money on those, though... hm...

Boy, did JNH surprise us with a mind blowing score. This score is so beautifully done, and so emotional that I will be surprised if it is not nominated for an award. This is different from other JNH scores in the sense that it is more celtic and not so modern sounding.It is nice to escape from all the electronic scores. Howard always amazes me how easily he can capture the setting of a film. His music convinces the audience to believe the music and the film, which is a feat few other composers can pull off.Tracks 20-22 are the more actiony pieces while track # 17 is a more jazzy/ playful piece. If you love beautiful, emotional music or are a James Newton Howard fan, do not hesitate to buy this masterpiece.

This is an A+ soundtrack! When I listen to the songs, I instantly am seeing flashbacks of the movie in my head! They were composed with utter brilliance. 5 stars!
