Miss Day's voice and her song are so jaw-droppingly inspiring and beautiful. All I could do is sit and watch and cry. But in the best of ways. She is AMAZING! You KNOW there is a God when a voice can sing out like Miss Day's.

As like Alaska Al, I heard this song on America's Got Talent and I had to look it up! Wow! This song is an inspiration and I will be singing it for years to come when I am down! You know what I'm talking about, a song that puts a lump in your throat, gives you goosebumps, and joyful tears to your eyes! Thank you Andra Day for this uplifting song that america so needs to hear each and every day!

I first heard this song in the background on America's Got Talent when Calysta Bevier was on. I looked up the lyrics and then, on top of everything else, I watched this 'Inspiration Version' video. As an Army veteran and cancer survivor, the whole piece really touched home. I've been singing this song throughout each day since then. "I Will RISE UP!" YES, I will. Next to 'Fight Song', this is my favorite song. There are acoustic versions, a video of Andra with PS 22 choir, and more. LOVE IT!
