The 10th was The Silent Picture Book. Now with that out of the way. This is another fantastic BH album. Malberts Strut just oozes a cool funk to it, super chill listening track. Robots just oozes melodic phrasing on par with Electric Tears and Colma (though I like the more relaxed backing to this versus the pounding of Colma). This is definitely a lot more composed that his noodling albums and thus a more solid playthrough beginning to end. I can't reccommend this album high enough, it's a must own for any BH fan. It really is amazing that BH has so much fantastic music inside of him to be able to crank out albums like this at the pace he does. Sure, not every album is a pure winner, but the majority of the albums in the pikes series are just that, winners.

What is wrong with the general US music audience? Buckethead produces genius album after album all 5 star material - and no one buys it ? BH is raw talent unlike any other guitarist I have EVER heard. He proves with each album how he has matured into a fearless guitarist with more range than any of his contemporaries. Ten Pikes albums in 1 1/2 years - that is totally unheard of. When others struggle to put out 1 album in 5 years - BH does this. AMAZING. YES RICH YOUR INTERNET IS LAGGING AND CLEARLY YOU DON'T HAVE A CLUE. SIMPLY GO TO HIS WEBSITE CALLED BUCKETHEAD PIKES AND YOU WILL SEE ALL 10 ALBUMS: 1) IT'S ALIVE 2) EMPTY SPACE 3) 3FT CLEARANCE 4) UNDERGROUND CHAMBER 5) LOOK UP THERE 6) BALLOON CEMENT 7) THE SHORES OF MOLOKAI 8) RACKS 9) MARCH OF THE SLUNKS 10) THE SILENT PICTURE BOOK SO STOP BEING A WEENIE RICH, AND SIMPLY RESEARCH BEFORE YOU WRITE. As for this album - it is pure genius. Buy it people. Forget that top 40 weak forgettable muzak. Listen to pure emotion done by the best guitarist in the world. No vocals necessary - believe me.

Hendrix can empty the spittoons, and Led Zepplin might be able to "open" for Bucket, if he allowed it (they were my favorites back then). The music of old is just a crude beginning for the greatest in the game, of which Bucket is the master.

These last 4 Pikes he has released have been simply phenomenal. Magellan's Maze, Malbert's Strut, The Robot Who Lost Its Head, and Ghost Coop were easily my gems out of this album. Especially Malbert's Strut. That funky tune... simply amazing.

Buckethead has nailed it with his last few Pikes. The Shores of Molokai, March of Slunks and Racks. There are hours apon hours of listening enjoyment in these Pikes.
