Same here ... born 62 in Germany and my parents had the records. So much fun, so effortless, great vibe. Haven't heard these songs in decades, what a forgotten treasure.
Trini at His Best!

Like tnkuhdog, my Dad was a Trini fan too. Trini's "Live at Basin Street East" was the album we wore out. "Live at PJ's" has the same feel - Trini played to the live crowd like a master and you get that feel in this album. His band is tight and solidly stays in the groove. Every aspiring live musician needs to listen to this album. Trini led the way.

This album sounds just as great today as it did when it came out in '63. Trini put the "rock" in folk rock with his electric version of 'If I Had a Hammer' which launched him into mega stardom. One can listen to this album over and over again and never get tired of hearing it from the opening tune 'A-Me-Ri-Ca' to 'Unchain My Heart'. You'll tap your feet and sing along all the way from start to finish.
