Yo amo Cafe Tacuba! I absolutely love Cafe Tacuba. Growing up for 5 years in the D.F. [aka Mexico City] let me discover them and i purchased all their albums! I love the song La Chica Banda. I'm happy people here in the EU [or u.s.] have discovered them!

I surprised my girlfriend with tickets to go see them when they came to Chicago for their 20th anniversary and I've been in love with them every since. I never heard of them until my girlfriend mentioned them. But I'm glad I found them, their music is just amazing. They are amazing live and they have been non stop of my ipod ever since. Every song of theirs is golden and you can listen to them on repeat and never get tired of them.. They are an awesome group!

Café Tacvba is one of those bands that keeps on growing musically with every album they release. From this album to their last one "Cuatro Caminos," it is evident that they have challenged themselves, and in the process they never dissapoint. When this record came out in the early 90's, people did not know what to think of them because their style was so eclectic and deep-rooted in Mexican folkloric music, and yet it was still easy to dilude by the masses that understood their innovative sound. This record would be a good addition to anyone looking to explore music that challeneges the norms established by the music industry. Throughtout the years, Café has experimented with Folkloric pop ("Las Batallas" y "María" from the album "Café Tacvba"), banda sounds ("El Fin De La Infancia" from the record "Re"), chá chá chá ("El Puñal Y El Corazón" from the album "Re"), garage punk ("El Borrego" from the record "Re"), classical music ("M.C. from the album "Revés Yo Soy"), infectuous pop ("Eo" from the album "Cuatro caminos") and pop rock ballads ("Eres" from the album "Cuatro Caminos"). Can any other Mexican band have the same repertoire? I think not. Period. Thier records become instant classics. I can go as far as saying that can be the "Mexican Beatles."

Every single time this band releases material is a must have. That other "little" band named Mana is nothing compared to Cafe Tacvba. True Rock is hard to come by no matter the language. i agree with the other comment by saying....IT F@$^ING ROCKS!!!!!!!
