  • It is Monumental!

My love affair with GusGus began 14 years ago, +/- a year or two, when I heard their cover of Depeche Mode's Monument (the only tolerable cover of any DM song to date). I promise you, if you love electronic techno(ey) music at all, then you will find a rare treat here. A to Z this album is near perfection. Listen with headphones on, pull apart all the layers, and wander through all the parts until sadly, it ends and you wake up, then you realize GusGus just took you on an audio-logic fantasy ride. Thank you Iceland for bringing yet another group with musical genius!

Been following GUSGUS music since 1997. This is how GUSGUS suppose to sound after the "Vs. T-World" album. A mixture of the ambient sound and dance beats from "Polydistortion", "This Is Normal" and "Vs. T-World". Daniel Agust, original voice of GUSGUS doing full time work cool. His voice blends nicely with the music and concept. Mellow tones, chill/lounge beats and ambient noiz. Most of all, mellow. But six songs? More like a long EP album in my opinion. Still, a good buy. If your a GUSGUS fanatic, an electronic music aficionado or dj/mixer "24/7" is for you.

BUY IT! Don't think about buying it, don't check your credit card balance... after you click buy you find millions of reasons of buying it! For a week now, it's my gym album, going to work and getting ready for a night out! Every single song has soul behind it, except the song Bremen Cowboy! Maybe too deep for the universe to figure out! Or just for the people in Bremen city, Germany. Overall it's awesome!

On point, reminds me a bit of GusGus vs T-World, one of my absolute favs. Glad you're back.

6 songs in 50 minutes - you know its gonna be an epic ride. But this isn't your regular rollercoaster of dance beats like their last LP "Forever", gone on Earth and the other female vocalists and Daniel Agust returns for full vocal duties which give a darker and sexier ride. The songs carry a lower BPM but the deep dance house feeling is no less fulfilled. The synths are thick, the voice is perfect and the beats work. Well worth the wait and I can't wait for multiple listens to enjoy this sonic masterpiece. The first single Add This Song gives a quick glimpse of the style of this LP. Thanks, guys!

I have been a fan of gusgus since their debut release. Each album has always pleased me. Although their earlier work was more pop oriented dance, I prefer the chillout electronic vibe of Forever and this is just a further extension of that will airy vocals filtered throughout. Definitely recommend it.
