If you're a real Bruckner enthusiast, maybe this collection is not for you. These are not the definitive recordings of the Bruckner symphonies, but you can't beat the price. If you're a casual listener who wants bang for the buck, this is the way to go. The Russian State Symphony has tremendous power and the full orchestra tuttis remind you that Bruckner's main instrument was the organ. Also, I didn't find the balance too offensive.

Don't buy -- the recording is all out of balance. I don't know where they placed the mics, but some instruments in the orchestra come through much louder than others.
