Leaving on a Jet Plane

This cover of Leavin' On a Jet Plane epitomizes what's great about J. Mascis. No one can put fuzz and distortion to better effect than J.. His meek vocals work very well, here, too. Sure, this cover in not in the same style as the original, but if you want a cover that sounds like the original, you should just go buy the original. He's made the song his own, and it's great.

Too Hard is worth a listen, but the cover of Leavin' on a Jet Plane wasn't my cup of tea. I'm a fan of most all things J and Dino, but I'll pass on this one.

I'm a little confused, did the song Leavin On a Jet Plane come before or after the song by mos def which has the same chorus?

This song is beyond anything that is good. Don't download it!

I love mascis. Honestly, I do. I love dino (even when it was just him), I bought the fog records (more light is the sheeeeeit), I thought witch was cool... but uh.. what the hell is this?

Absolutely awful... Horrendous, total crap. If anyone falls for this obvious swindle it's a shame.

I love J. Mascis but this is not very good. The art on the album cover is better than the music.

J. Mascis is DINO JR.- so, go back and listen to his covers of the Cure's "Just Like Heaven" and Peter Frampton's "Show Me the Way" then you will understand the song. It's great music for a sing-a-long in your car with the windows down and the music blasting....and you SCREAMIN' ALONG! "Too Hard" is a little to slow for me but, not bad. So, give it a whirl...you might just dig Leavin'!

Love Dino Jr. but this song is just plain TERRIBLE. Musicians should learn not to release everything that they record.
