  • astonishing and often exhilarating

The stylistic and emotional range is []broad, from an intensly earnest and passionate a capella solo to boisterous carols accompanied by a wonderfuly noisy instrumental consort. The mixture of genres and styles works beautifully; the juxtaposition of such diverse repertoire is astonishing and often exhilerating...The albulm shuld be of interest to any fan of early music, and to anyone looking for Chistrams music that reaches beyond standard carols.
  • Early modern sound with medieval music.

Though their selection and musicianship is unquestionable, the Folger Consort is more suited to early modern music. The vocalist is the clincher, really--personally, I can't stand her voice:(
  • Cool I guess.

Too opera ish for me though. I dont like how the songs are in a different language. But I think my parents would like it.
