Bruno Walter not John Eliot Gardiner!!!

Now that that is settled. Bruno Walter was supposed to record this in his 'Indian' summer in Los Angeles, but he died before that was completed. Nothing to worry as this recording of a live performance with Seefried and London and the NYP is far better than what we would have gotten then any way. Walter conducting Brahms is like drinking beer in Munich, there is no other way to do it. I've listened to this recording many times and never grow tired of it. Sure newer ones have better sound quality, but this is the interpretation to live up to in my opinion.
