This album was HUGE ! SNL's ratings sucked then and the album is what introduced Murphy to an adult audience. It's pre-political correctness and these skits where part of the vernacular for years.

I remember I heard this album when I was a little kid back when it originally came out and I loved it.
True I was too young to appreciate it fully,but I heard it again a few more times over the years and each time one thing was constant,I always remembered it seemingly word for word.
For that to happen repeatedly for over 20 years is a testament to the greatness of Eddie Murphy,like my title says you never forget the work of truely talented people. Though I'm now in my 30's this was an album that never left my mind,and I'm glad for it. Give this album a try and you'll see what I mean.
Yeah it's explicit but compared to any hip hop album now it's actually very tame now,still if you listen to it for God's sake don't let the kiddies hear it. I heard it when I was a wee lad but I was mature for my age and it was a different time but still you should be responsible with it.
