Wonderful post Katrina tribute !

Again Buffet has another hit. You have to admit if you close your eyes, you can almost feel like you are day in paradise (about 800 miles south of northern Indiana)in any of Buffet's songs. I would love to spend a day in the life of Jimmy Buffet.

Jimmy and the Reefers are back in their best form on Take the Weather With You...! Like of all of Jimmy's songs..."Bama Breeze" resonates w/ those of on the Gulf Coast who have lost our favorite watering holes such as the "Flora-Bama" bar (I swear, that's where Jimmy shot the Bama Breeze video)...Just as all the "Bama-Breeze" bars are coming back bigger and better, so is the come back of Jimmy w/ this album...of course "Parrotheads" know he never really left in the first place!

I just got to watch the video for Bama Breeze. It brought tears to my eyes. An exceptional song of great emotion & memories for the Gulf Coast. Or for any pirate looking at 40 in their rear view mirror. Jimmy Buffett is THE best songwriter/storyteller of all time.

I've been listening to Bubba on the beaches of Malibu for (gulp) thirty years, and this is among his best. The fact that it pays tribute to his gulf coastal roots and all that was lost there in 2005 just makes it better. This song belongs in your 2006 beach tune playlist, and your Best of Buffett playlist. Like Jimmy - a winner. The video is cool , too.

Jimmy as always makes a statement. I have and still do enjoy all his music on a daily basis. It makes a long commute relaxing everyday and Bama Breeze is no different. I cant wait of the release date of the album, Because I will be buying it! On the Boat or stuck in traffic there is absolutly no substitute.
