    BEST ALBUM EVER™
  • Stripped down without synthed out vocals is not Kracker's game...

Unlike his previous two albums Kracker attempts to completely go stripped down. It makes this album sound like nothing more than a garage band album. It highlights his voice's weakness and really sounds unpolished and choppy. The only track that is worth a listen is 'Last Night Again' which is an honest shot at a country cross over. It lacks the fun of his last two albums and doesn't show that there is much left in the tank. Better keep gravy training Kenny Chesney.

This album is not "Double Wde" and that is great. Songs you can sing along to and enjoy with a cold one. Very cool!

Don't know if you actually read these Uncle Kracker.....but if you do....get away from the raunchy, rap crap and stick to the "softer" country/rock side of yourself. You are an amazing singer. You're very versatile....that's good....my friend couldn't believe that she was listening to the same person when I switched around on songs...but I think your better stuff is the country/rock/pop stuff!! Keep that up....I'll keep buying.

Ok if you like Unlce Cracker I this album is a must. It is true when they say Rescue is great but the album has a lot of great tunes! For not being a music critic I find 4 hits on this album.

He is more talented than most I hear, and more importantly, willing to try things in order to present what he wants you to hear. The song "Writing It Down" is probably one of the most significant songs my wife and I have ever heard, and if you find the meaning in it for you, you will feel the same. We both agree that it is a "if-you-were-stranded-on-a-desert-island-an-only-had-10-songs" type of song. Exceptional talent creates exceptional songs, and this by far a classic example.
  • Soul and honesty beats critics everyday!

Uncle Cracker is one of my all time favorites! Down to earth, open minded, honest. His style is sing about what he wants and doing it with integrity. Album is full of good times. Great job UK!

This is really the only record of Uncle Kracker's I listen to, but it is one of my favorites. Once you get past the name "Uncle Kracker", you'll realize there are some great songs here... much more soulful and well-written than I would expect. Rescue and Don't Know How (Not to Love You) are two of my favorite songs, by anybody.
