Musically, every song is all over the place. Not nearly as good as Rage. Lyrically, nothing grabs you and is all based on nonsense. I refuse to believe that a sheltered millionaire understands anything about the real world, while doing nothing but trash the economic system that gave him his fame and fortune. The truth hurts? That’s what Nate said, right?You don’t know the actual truth, buddy. "Capitalist dictatorship" is an oxymoron. Accept it and we can all move on.

I have to say, I’m 40 years old at the time I’m leaving this review (12.7.2021). I spent my teen years with RATM. Spent my 20s with Audioslave, and enjoyed a few other “Tom side projects”. That being said, I feel taken aback. I would have never thought Tom Morello would put something out in this style of music. It’s good on a general Pop music level. In the context of Tom’s previous work, It just don’t work for me. Some of the songs sound are overly produced that I have to ask myself, “Where’s Tom?”. I appreciate Tom making knew music (because RATM will NEVER make another record. I don’t care what anyone says it will never happen). This style of music just doesn’t work. I would love it if Tom became the next Tom Waits mixed with Jeff Buckley, with a little Lindsey Buckingham sprinkled in for good measure. This is just not doing it for me. Sorry Tom.

I have never cared for Morello. He is very overrated. Nothing about his guitar playing is remotely interesting. It’s time to hang it up big dawg and apply for that job at Jiffy Lube 👍
