The Gift is a timeless album. The album is full inspirational gems and high-energy bops. Every song is meaningful, which is missing in so much of popular music today. I'm so glad that she decided to highlight Afrobeats on the album, and the many wonderful artists that work in that genre. She helped expose me to them.
