Excellent music, ruined by poor mixing

I could just cry. 5 stars for what the music should be. I can tell its phenomenal, but its destroyed by poor mixing. Its been run through a basic compressor plug-in, or three or four of them- and the there is no space, no transients, no nothing. Its just hacked off and pressed flat (how everyone mixes now). I have no idea what the lyrics of some of the songs are. The special effects of the music are annoying and fatiguing, being ahead of the voices. Its just a mush. I am heartbroken. Please, pretty pretty please- I’d buy this a second time, if it was offered up unadulterated, a’la Reznor. Right now- I want to listen all the time, but get fatigued trying to HEAR through the pancake its been made into. No grammy for this mixing, that’s for sure. Such a shame.
