On this album, Vance explores musically while remaining true to his roots. As always, the results are beautiful. My personal favorites are “Take Your Time” and “I’m With You.” Thank you, Vance Joy, for another beautiful album. You are one of my favorite artists, and your music infuses so much feeling, happiness, and hope into my life.

I went to see Alice Merton in concert (even though she was the opening act and she has only 5 songs but they are all pretty good) and then Vance Joy comes out and everyone knows the lyrics but not me. So I just listened him rock out onstage. The next day those were STILL in my head and from then on I have been listening to the Nation of Two album and Dream Your Life Away album.
