Beautiful, tender, strong and heavy. Simply unique and amazing. Finally something different in an age in which everything sounds the same.

This is by far Bruun's best album as of yet, I have found myself becoming invested in these songs more and more as I listen to them. I feel as if this is the true sound of Myrkur.
Dark, enchanting, great voice

Myrkur's second full length album is haunting, dark, and harder to describe or categorize than her first album. There are some black metal elements (less than her last album), but its mostly a very original and unique blend of traditional (and untraditional) scandanavian medieval/folk elements mixed with modern synth and song structures. The production is a big step up from the previous album and you can tell she's making music from the soul. It has fewer metal elements than her last album, and seemingly an overall slower pace. The second half of the album sluggs along with a few highlights...but no good punch in the gut. That is simply a descrepency between what I was hoping for and the album she made. Ultimately, I give it 5 stars since, for what it is, its done extremely well and original.

From the haunting, furious vocals of Måneblôt to the savage beauty of Ulvinde, this promises to be a superb album. De Tre Piker showcases her exploration of acoustic spaces we heard in Mausoleum, and we get a taste of that marvelous medieval keyed harp, the nykelharpa.
Ulvinde.

Just from listening to Ulvinde, I'm already anticipating the rest of her album with anxious excitement. Beautiful vocals and the music carries a weight that leaves an indelible impression on your soul.
