I first heard Rainforest in a New Age bookstore. I took it home because it sounded interesting and I was new to the genre. I purchased Rainforest in 1990. I played it while I worked in my Studio. It's mysterious sounds stimulated my creative spirit. One night while working late, everything dark around me except for my drawing table light, The Raining Room started, The dropping coin or is it a marble, I never knew, stunned me, frightening me. I felt thier were spirits swirling around me in the darkness. I actually felt a deep sense of dread and terror for a few moments. I decided that I would never play the album at night when I was alone.
There has not been a recording before or after that affects me on the same level as Rainforest. I often forget that I own it then rediscover it and play it over and over, the mysterious and peaceful moods still stimulate me to new creativity in my work.
Rainforest is a fabulous recording.
