This record is certainly not your standard Isley LP. It is by no means a funk album. Nor is it a rock album. As is their tradition, the Isleys (Just Ronald and Rudolph at this point) ventured in another direction, quiet storm. Consequently, this really shouldn't be compared to much from the 3+3 years, as it's truly a paradigm shift for the band. All production is handled by the brilliant Angela Winbush. Her haunting production with Ron's vocals has the ability to take the listener to another place entirely....My favorite tracks are 5 through 8. If you're looking for Isley funk, this isn't for you. However, if you want to listen to beautiful ballads, this is a near masterpiece.

This for me is one of my favorite albums from the Isley's if you're a fan and have followed their music you'll know that it's a distictive sound that they have from RB, Soul, Pop, and some Rock. However since joining teams with R.Kelly I haven't been enjoying their music music but yet still support them. Good tracks to remember are hits like"Smooth Sailin, I Wish, Takes a Good Woman.
