One of my all-time favorite scores. There is certainly a "presence" to this soundtrack. When I was eight, I remember certain chords would always stop me in my tracks. Throughout the years I would catch the film on HBO and my reaction was still pretty much the same. I was just in awe of the ominous dark tones. Now that I have purchased the soundtrack, I sit in my car and listen to it while relaxing. It's really strange how this score effects me the way that it does. I guess we really don't choose what "speaks" to us. Certain things just draws us in and demands us to sit and listen.

John Barry’s highly atmospheric score for an otherwise mediocre film. The soundtrack outweighs the film itself by far, which starred Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange. iTunes why not put the deluxe 2cd score, which is even more expansive?
