This EP is a perfect example of the artistry I would like to see a lot more of in Detroit. After years of earning street cred, the Finally Famous veteran stepped outside the box as his music career has been spiraling upward in recent months. Detroit in the music industry is so culturally blockaded, as lyrics, flow and production elements lack originality and mostly resemble those from rap-groups like Doughboyz Ca$hout or Team Eastside. Earlly Mac, with the help of producer, Icepic make it blatantly clear that they are not those amongst the mediocrity. Earlly delivers smooth, clever, and witty lyrics over Icepic's ominous keys and intricate drum patterns, creating moods from dark, to sexy, to party that can hook any listener. The featured artists and producer (keY Wayne) should not go unnoticed. "God Knows" is a spectacular debut project for the rising Detroit native that makes you anticipate what's to come.
