i like this album

Easily the best thing Madonna ever did. No other album comes even close. Of the four monster acts of the 1980s and '90s--MJ, Madonna, Prince and Bruce Springsteen--it is Madonna's records that have aged most poorly. Ray of Light is the exception. Thanks in large part to the production (credited to Madonna and William Orbit), this album stands with the best of the era. It sounds as fresh and vital in 2026 as it did the day it was released.

Her best album. My favorite.

I own 10 Madonna albums and this can compete for number 1 though rankings change. It's an AMAZING album, philosophical, thought-provoking. It makes me feel wise and mature when I listen to it, like I've lived through a lot. Masterpiece.

My mom came home from the record store in 1998 with the Celine Dion CD for me not this one. I threw a fit, got a ride, and used my babysitting money to purchase this album. I’ve had to replace it twice and it’s literally what got me into yoga. I’ve been teaching yoga and dancing to this album for 25 years! Madonna made Music after this and American Life. Could have stopped there.
