Reviews

  • Keep it Christ-centered broski

This album significantly misses the Christ-centered message that music is supposed to possess. Music is meant and needed to encourage others to change and become better individuals, not be content with lackadaisical mindsets. I like MC Jin and followed him since his "BET freestyle bouts" (I've been saved for 5 years), but this album is antithetical to what Christian music is supposed to represent. It fell very short from its predecessor "Hypocrite".

I didn't even know who Jin was until the guy I was seeing recently, (China Mac) who happens to be a rapper as well, told me that he shot Jins boy. So I looked into Jin because I wanted to know about the guy who basically had beef with my ex boyfriend. And I have to say that I fell in love with Jins music. So ironic right? Lol

I've been following MC Jin since he was just Jin on 106&Park freestyle battles. He's come a long way and he's a better MC for it. I was particularly impressed with the fact that he is being himself, he found his style. He also speaks about his faith on a few tracks which is cool because in today's industry it's hard to do that successfully. Big shout out to the homeboy, MC Jin, (a true MC)! God Bless and good luck!!!

No doubt, this is one of the best albums I’ve ever listened too. If you want to be inspired, cultured, and truly live through the lyrics of Hip-Hop - this album is it! Leave behind any pre-judgements of Jin or his story, this is a true piece of art from start to finish and blew away my expectations.

As a fan I could ask for nothing more. This album comes full circle from The Rest Is History. Beautiful story telling, and great insight to the simplicities and complexities of life.

I don’t buy music. Just going to say it straight out because I listen to everything on Pandora, but this album couldn’t be ignored. I listened to the playlist on YouTube a couple times, but I felt kinda bad for not buying the album so I did. Great album— Jin is sincere as ever. This isn’t the type of album where the artist speaks about sex, drugs, money, but rather his culture, hardships, and an overview of his life. I know I’ll have this album on repeat for a while, and although MC Jin has the whole #NoFanZone going on, I am and always will be a fan. Love you Jin!
