Sir Michael rocks, one half of the rap duo the cool kids comes put with his new solo album banco. At first I was hesitant because his last few projects did not impress me, as such I had seen quite a few positive reviews and decided to give it a listen. From the very first track I was hooked in. The intro is a fantastic one with clever lines with some wild imagery. And it continues with memo, and great up lifting track with a hook that will be surely stuck in your head. And other tracks like bussin, drug dealer, kill switch, and francois all have heavy beats, awesome hooks, great verses with lots of charisma makes these track stand as awesome bangers. While tracks like the intro, lost boys and one time have more ominous feeling, with a slight trippy or dark feel. And yet more up best happy tracks like memo and somish have a more pop like feel, but not to the point where my teeth rot cause it's so sweet. All in all this album has diversity, emotion, fantastic production, humorous skits, and hooks and verses that make some awesome bangers for parties. While there are a few songs that are eh, over all the positives out way the bad making this album a memorable one!

This album is full of bangers. One of the best CDs of 2014

I really like the way this album came out. A solid, but not completely overshadowing list of features, a nice range and personality of beats, and solid lyrics. It's not going to be one of those albums that is going to be blasted everywhere (also because he's really underrated) but it's one of those ones that's not going to get worn out and always brings a nice vibe. I really like the independent Mikey Rocks.

pretty dissapointed...

This album is GREAT for Sir Michael Rocks first, but how is it Banco without the last track 'Banco' available for us to download?!? The snippet to that song was the first I heard from this album & I can't even hear it!! It sounds like the best song on the album. Please fix it iTunes!

I have listened to Mikey since he was in that rhapsody commercial with Chuck Inglish four or five years ago. THIS, IN MY OPINION, IS HIS BEST RELEASE THUS FAR. Banco has heavy replay value. Six months from now this album will still bump. I’ll never understand why Mikey doesn’t get more credit in the hip-hop sphere. So many rappers have copied Mikey & Chuck Inglishes fashion sense/image it’s not even funny. KEEP THE MUSIC COMING SIR MICHAEL
