This is the first Arcade Fire album, but also the last of theirs that I listened to. Who would have thought this would turn out to be my favorite? It's not perfect. I don't even like No Cars Go. But something about it reminds me of what it will feel like when the end of the world comes. And that's a feeling I hallow above all others.

The irony of the grating vocalist in The Woodlands National Anthem is lost on me. Sounds like a bunch of tight jeaned folks with too much PBR on hand.

My friend was telling me about how awsome Arcade Fire is so I went and listened to their album funeral, since I've fallen in love with their modern meets old mix. This album basicly sums up everything about the band. They remind me of my other favorite band devotchka. Definatly going to be buying for songs! I recommend this to any alternative music lovers.

Arcade fire is a big part of the foundation upon which I have built who I am. I didn't buy this album for a while because I worried it wouldn't be any good, but when I bought it and listened to it I experienced the purest happiness through every song. I realized it didn't get much better than this in life. It's not as professional or as intricate as the other arcade fire albums, but extremely beautiful.
