This was Madonna at her most important. Her 2nd best album (behind True Blue). As we all know, this album was largely overshadowed by the SEX book and Body of Evidence. This album was misunderstood and most thought it was about nothing but sex but if you listen to the album you’ll find that only 2 songs actually talk about sex (Erotica & Where Life Begins). Serious topics are highlighted and that artwork is very stunning. She changed after the backlash but still released great music.

Happy 25th Erotica. You changed my life as a young teen looking for acceptance. I could always look to you to give me the strength and confidence to carry on. I’m still here, 25 years later and still strong.

Such a groundbreaking amazing work of art way ahead of its time. Rolling Stone magazine calls it a masterpiece and Billboard says the most controversial pop album of the 90’s. A true classic!
  • best album to date.
