Some great songs obviously it’s not a self titled nor a paranoid or the amazing master of reality but this album beats out later sabbath albums except for 13

Sabbath reigns with this record!! My Brother and I would rock out to this album as kids!!! I was 8 when it came out and I’m 52 now I still love it!!! So take your Iron Man and War Pigs and listen to them “WAY OVER THERE””
  • The worst album in the Sabbath catalog

The songs on this album is missing the Sabbath sounds and touch. The songs is just bad and not sounding like other albums. They seem to be lost and no real heart or soul in the song writing. They were having problems in band and their personal lives. You hear it in songs writing, playing and all around sounds of album.

The reason this album wasn’t exactly well received is because it’s so unlike the horror/end of the world nature that sabbath portrays in most of their other albums. It is my personal favorite and there isn’t a single song on the album I don’t like

The worst Black Sabbath album up to that point, though I like it better than any of the Tony Martin albums and Dehumanizer. Far too much keyboards and other junk covering up Ozzy’s vocals. This was actually my introduction to Black Sabbath back in 1977. There are still some great songs here, like the depressing You Won’t Change Me, Gypsy, All Moving Parts Stand Still and Rock and Roll Doctor. I also quite like It’s Alright, which features Bill Ward on vocals and I think he sounds like Barry Manilow. There are times on this album where Black Sabbath sound like a Spanish group! I have never liked Back Street Kids and Dirty Woman.....or She’s Gone, probably the sappiest ballad they ever did. Overall, not one of Black Sabbath’s better albums and not a good introduction to them, but it does have some great songs.
  • Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be

I thought there were a few great songs like "Backstreet Kids", "You Won't Change Me" and "Dirty Women" but the rest of the album ranged from poor to fair, Sabbath was definitely falling apart by the time they made this album

I read the reviews on Wikipedia and I know this isn't 1 of the most famous albums but I listened to this and it was just as good as the early 1s.
