One of the best electronic ambient albums of all time and to me the first great Tangerine Dream album. The music reminds me of the cover and vise-versa. A must have.

I bought this record when it came out and it opened my ears up... playing it with friends back then was like showing them the great secret to what make music transform into whatever your imagination can handle.

This is the album that set the blueprint for TD's output of the seventies: rthythmic sequences and spacey textures combined with melodic elements that have an air of mystery or discovery about them. Make no mistake, this is head music and with the previous album Atem, the beginning of the classic Tangerine Dream sound. The next album Rubicon is their masterpiece, tho Phaedra was the breakthrough.
