  • Don’t Miss Roger’s Work Here...

It’s too bad some of these tunes were left off of, say, Atom Heart Mother. Listen to Breathe, Chain of Life, Sea Shell and Stone, and Bed Time Dream Clime then imagine how much better AHM might’ve been had those been included...

I really tried to enjoy this utter load of schisse but eventually I ended up putting the CD in the microwave and then using the result as a drink coaster

Used to own this on vinyl back in the post-Dark Side of the Moon days, when I was starting to explore Pink Floyd. This is a sometimes fun but always interesting sonic experiment with Roger and Ron Geesin -a buddy who sometimes worked behind-the- scenes with the Floyd- putting together a soft, mellow and largely accoustic score for a little-known film. It's been a while since I listened, but I've always suspected that Roger managed to slip in a few of the same Abbey Road sound effects that the Floyd used on Umma Gumma and other projects and the Beatles used often as well (the bird sound effects in particular). I won't say this will only appeal to Roger's most ardent fans, but unless you like really mellow Waters, and are interested in hearing some of the ideas he later used when writing Dark Side in what basically is their demo form, you may be put-off by the album. I'd still take a chance...
