The guy that wrote the review is worthless. That had to be one of the worst reviews on an album I have ever seen. Not only did the writer pull from the depths of his websters in some futile attempt to mask the content of his piece, bashing another album as an intro to bring light to the improvements on this album is just poor practice. I think the writer should be given a job in another department of itunes that is more suitable for him..Maybe there is an opening in the "the early 90s teen angst janitorial" department.

This album was so good, i coulda listened to it until I go deaf.I think my damnation was the best song, it reminds me of myself. But dont go without the thrash-trash spectacular Start a War(the song), sure to blast your eardums out. Statics best album yet :P :0 :& :#

Who keeps writing these horrible static-x reviews??? machine was not a crash and burn, and wisconsin death trip is their best album! shadow zone was pretty good too but it was not a bad album. Start a War is great! I'm the One, Skinnyman, Dirthouse, The Enemy, all are great songs among many more.
Whoever writes these reviews should get a real opinion.

I love how the person who wrote this review tries to sound intelligent by trying to make it sound like a work of art, when they have no real opinion. They even break their own guideline.
"Praise music on its own terms, not at the expense of other artists, their music or the audience of particular genres."
Great job. Maybe actually listen to the album next time?

This album is for those of us who have had a bad day or just need to listen to something a bit heavy. If you want something to scream to or if you have aggression that needs to be releaved this is just the CD for you. Great songs all the way till the end.
