Reviews

  • Great for teaching or your private practice

I agree with the other yoga teacher's comments. I also teach and love this album. I added in a couple of songs here and there to make it fit my 90 minute time frame and I get a lot of good feedback from my students on this music. I didn't know her, but a well known local teacher was in my class and loved the music, also! Thank you, Gabrielle Roth!
  • Music For Slow Flow yoga

I teach yoga with a very specific use of music to enhance the class. Unlike the other review, I feel this drum music is very easy to use in class. Students often ask about my music mixes and Gabrielle Roth is always on the list. Perhaps it takes a little time to rearrange the sequence of songs to fit the flow each teacher wants to achieve in class. Every class is different and the energy is certainly supported by this music. I especially like Eternal Dance for a slow Sun Salutation flow. Drums are the primitive movement of Shahkti within all of creation. This album gives us the foundation to find it within ourselves.
  • I want to return this to iTunes and get my money back!

I used this in my yoga class while I was teaching and by track 5 I had to take it off. I was waiting for it to get better. It is drum heavy, eerie, and not suitable for yoga practice. I felt at one point I should be sitting in RainForest Cafe (though I have never been there) and my students begged me to turn off the music. Don't waste your money.
