This performance, which was recorded live, is truly one of the best renditions of the Tchaikovsky Concerto for violin and orchestra, and the violin soloist is simply fabulous (she is a former concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York). Her interpretation of this concerto is bewitching, to say the least, and her big-scale tone is radiant and glorious. For a live performance, this is quite astonishing! Highly recommended.
