  • Daughtry's Best Album

    By Ray W. California
This is the best Daughtry album yet--better than them all. Daughtry's voice has settled into a comfort zone that keeps all his songs humming along. Great work all the way around for him and his band. Bravo!
  • Best album ever!

Every song on here is amazing! My favorite is Crazy and Crawling Back to You!
  • Completing the Trilogy

The third album from Daughtry is the last one to feature the hard rocking sound they pioneered before switching to a different style on their fourth effort. In their signature style, the band combine Chris Daughtry's powerful voice with melodic electric and acoustic guitars. However, a couple new tearjerker moments are present on this effort. My favorites are "Crawling Back to You", "Outta My Head", "We're Not Gonna Fall" and "Gone Too Soon".
  • A Mellow Approach As Well As Some Pleasant Surprises

    By Dogsrule555
Unlike their last two albums, a majority of these songs are indeed mellow. While not as rockin' as before, these songs definitely exhibit raw emotion ("Rescue Me" is an example). "Outta My Head" and "Losing My Mind" definitely contain catchy lyrics with great accompanying music ("Outta My Head" being a tad more rock). I don't recall ever getting the lyrics stuck in my head or singing along to Daughtry lyrics the way I do with these songs. They've definitely accomplished songs that are fun to sing along to and to generally listen to. "Gone Too Soon" once again shows us how a contemporary band manages to steer away from typical and generic song topics, giving us an unorthodox yet powerful ballad as a result. Aside from "Outta My Head," a song I feel particularly stands out is "Maybe We're Already Gone." This song only comes with the deluxe version of the album, but I think it should receive much more credit. This amazing songs displays the rock roots from their first album, sending the chilling vibe from "All These Lives." "Maybe We're Already Gone" is wonderful, powerful, rockin', and may even be the best song "Break the Spell" Deluxe has to offer. Overall, this is a great album, and be sure to check out their first two amazing ones as well!
  • What do you mean, this didn't do well?

    By MathMan10
I don't get why people are saying that this album is bad. Yeah, I do like the first two better, but there's nothing wrong with this one! I have nearly bought half the album. I know this probably seems insulting, but I only have the entirety of the first two because my dad had them already. There is nothing wrong with Break the Spell.

Chris Daughtry is the perfect example that you don't have to win American Idol to make #1 hits. He's truelly amazing and hopefully when he comes here to Houston,I'll go.
