I've been a cobra fan for a few years now, and I must say i LOVE LOVE LOVE this album to death! #1nite and You Make Me Feel are definitely super upbeat pop-ish songs, which are great, but I have enjoyed the rest of the album so much more. A lot of people are saying they're selling out and that this is awful, but I think it's very reminiscent of their first album, except a lot more musically interesting. I guess you either love it or hate it, but i HIGHLY suggest it to fans of the While the City Sleeps We Rule the Streets.

what?? i heard the "you make me feel..." song on the radio and just thought it was another lame pop song that sounds like all the others, i just found out that was COBRA STARSHIP?!?!?! ummmmmmmmm seriously? now theyre doing everything they can to sound like everybody else on the radio. they used to be good now i dont even recognize their music. but of course the same thing is happening to breathe carolina.....its true most bands are only good the first one or two mayybeee three albums if theyre lucky....then they decide they need to go mainstream:/

I just bought this album, unsure of how it would stand up to other Cobra albums. But after a few listens, you can hear the Cobra we're used to. Yes, there are a few hit singles here that can easily be on the radio, but what's wrong with that? This album is on repeat for me now.

I've been a Cobra Starship fan ever since they first started and I have to say this album is just perfect, in all seriousness. Ever since I got it, it seems to have been racking up plays in my iTunes and I'm afraid I'm becoming addicted to it. When people say Cobra Starship have changed, it upsets me. Why? Well, first of all. All bands change, god, if they didn't do you think you would still want to listen to them if they kept putting the same album out over and over? Come on! Every single Cobra Starship album has had the perfect blend of songs that you just want to dance to and those ones that are extremely heartfelt. On Night Shades, that isn't an exception. You have "You Belong With Me" which is a very touching song and I know of a lot of people who have deemed it "their song" with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Then there is Middle Finger that just makes you want to dance and not care who is looking "I step into the club, the haters turn around, my middle finger's up, yeah I'm just getting down." It's just a really perfect album and if you disagree there is 100% chance of you being dumb.

I knew Gabe Saporta when he was in Midtown, before* he created Cobra Starship. True CS's earlier albums reflected Gabe's punk rock roots, but I think the later albums show his talent in different genres of music. Cobra Starship ISN'T "selling out" or "becoming mainstream." If you were a real* Cobra fan you would say, "Shades on, fangs up!"
  • Mainstream.

I don't mind this album a few okay songs that are enjoyable....but I really miss the old stuff! They're turning too mainstream. But oh well.
  • You Make Me Feel... and Fool Like Me(:

I've bought "You Make Me Feel..." and I love it! One of my favorite songs! I like "Fool Like Me" a lot! But I'm broke, so I haven't bought that one yet. I also like "Don't Blame the World It's the DJ's Fault" I got that one when it was free on iTunes. That's the song that hooked me on Cobra Starship(:
