Many fine and talented musicians get together and produce....blandness. This is rather soulless bossa nova fusion. Check out bossa classics instead (Jobim, GIlberto, Stan Getz, etc); if you want more adventurous bossa fusion start with Suba and 3 Na Massa. This is sadly a bore.

The original "Red Hot + Rio" marked the beginning with my love affair with Brazilian music and this one comes at the perfect moment. The sounds are at the same time fresh and loyal to the original music from the 70s. Marisa Monte's voice is just priceless. There is a little bit for everyone on this album! Love it, love it, love it!

Fun re-imaginings of Brazilian tunes. Great music for summer or any season really. Plus the money goes to a good cause.

Whoever thinks this album is not worth a penny clearly doesn't realize where the pennies are going. What an awesome album, and a steal for the price. Personal favorites include the Mia Doi Todd/Jose Gonzalez track obviously Beck/Seu Jorge and David Byrne/Caetano Veloso. There are so many more great tracks on the album plus it goes to a worthy cause so why not expand your library for less than 50 cents a track. just press buy!

Once again, the Red Hot Organization hits it our of the park. Rio 2 is the only album I'll be listening to this summer. Perfect beach tunes, makes me feel like I'm in Brazil. Do NOT miss out on this!
