I've followed EC from his stint in the Yardbirds ... to Mayall ... Delanny ... his
solo career ... and so on ... around 9 or 10 concerts. To me, personally, it's not the lyrics ... It's his superb and amazing excellence of his guitar work ... He's, without question or debate, mastered his guitar and easily adapts to any style necessary to perform whatever piece he's chosen to play. This album shows the skill of a master at his craft. Did Clapton become 'lax or lazy' with this album? I don't think so ... listen more closely ... It's Clapton ... so enjoy.
Clapton still has it

Like others who grew up on EC's guitar work, I was a little surprised at this latest collection - but just keep listening. It grows on you and now I wish I had more like "Autumn Leaves"
Sorry - Not this time.

I think a guy who has been everywhere and back with his history has the right to make a record like this and it pays off!
Great guitar tone through out and respectful to the music that influenced him in his roots!
its ok for his age

I've joked about my taste in new music... Toby Keith... Little Big Town... but seriously, is it so wrong to like Clapton?
