Best In Search of Sunrise ever

I thought 6 would be hard to beat and with Durand taking over for Tiesto I was skeptical... but this album is amazing!! Best trance/electronica album with vocals that I've ever heard. Listening to it for 3 months straight and it still hits me hard. Lots of solid beats (Never Alone, Introspection Attempts), so many amazing highs (Kiss of Life, Emergency, As the Rain Falls, Kissed by the Sun) and just a few clunkers (Satelite of Love...sorry, not Lou Reed worthy).
Good album

I have to say! I am Tiestos biggest fan and didn't hear about this album until November 2010. I was dissapointed it wasn't Tiesto, I mean hello its ISOS! and yet I love it. Durand you did a great job with this compilation. Thank you!
Traditional ISOS?

I was definitely apprehensive about a ISOS that wasn't crafted by Tiesto, however I would say that Durand actually does a very good job with maintaining the traditional feel. Similar to how ISOS 7 was more mellow (In my opinion ISOS 5 and 6 are the best two) the only disappointing aspect to the set is that it's actually broken up as individual songs. There isn't much mixing/blending between most of the tracks, but it is definitely worth downloading!!

Not your Older Brother's In Search of Sunrise...

But this album still brings great honor to the series. While Richard Durand has taken the reigns on ISoS 8: South Africa, the overwhelming sensations of sounds are obvious here as always. And did I forget to mention that this particular iTunes release comes with the complete continous mixes AND the full-length tracks for mixing.
The music selected is certainly in tradition of all others that came before it.
Enjoy ^_^

I played this on my deck party last week for 70 of my friends...............and they listened to it 3 times. I think people better start to realize that there is talent much superior to that of Tiesto.....though at one time he was the best. RD---what an awesome job..........thanks for the summer of fun!!!
Easily Top 3 Dance Album of The Year

I don't usually comment on albums but Durand CRUSHED it with ISOS 8. Tiesto or not, it really doesn't matter and ,in fact, this album is even better than Tiesto's ISOS 7. Just buy it. Tust.

Albums kicks it.. very much like ISOS 6 and 7 style. I like it a lot. Everyone keeps talking about how "its not Tiesto." Well that's quite obvious - I believe it says 'RICHARD DURAND' on the cover - and I don't see why it matters anyway. Tiesto owns Songbird (subsidiary of Black Hole Recordings) and has recommended Richard highly for the job. The sound is fresh and clean; nice!

On my first listen of this mix i had already had it in my head thst this wasn't tiesto and i wouldn't like it. On my second listen i felt i hadn't given it a fair shake so i decided to clear my mind and pretend as if it was another mix done by tiesto and by the end of the second compilation, i wanted to listen again. I recommend any fan of isos who listens to this, do what i did and you will enjoy it. Richard durand deserves props for making an isos that can hang with the best. The first 4 tracks are amazing ( kostya veters envy is perfect and acostas beautifu is beautiful) and the rest of the mix has a very primal sound with some of the latter songs sounding almost alien. I recommend this to any isos listener with an open mind.
