  • One of the Best Comedy Albums of all Time

This is one of the best comedy albums of all time. Cosby has a way of remembering things about childhood that most folk forget. He then connects his memories to other people in a way that is relatable and universal. I regret I was never able to hear the title track live...

To the reviewer who thought it was "gross and weird" that Cosby says he "slept with" his brother...get your mind out of the gutter. Cosby's family grew up poor and he shared a bed with his brother out of necessity. "Slept" means they engaged in sleep.

I've bought all of Cos's rercords since the early 60's. He is one of the best comedian we have ever been blessed with and he ranks with the top, Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Carol Burnett and all the rest that could be funny without cursing.

The title bit which I listened to as a child is the best and yet I have to buy the whole album to get it. Frustrating

This performance by Bill Cosby distributed in 1968 is pure Americana and Cosby at his best. Long before the iconic tv family , this album takes you on a journey of Bill's world that is nothing short of genius. High praise for a stand up comic but Cosby takes you into his world, warts and all. Cosby is masterful, the White Album of comedy. He dared to tell his tale to a live audience and we are all lucky to join in with the lights low and the headphones, our free pass to a table in the back. My brother and I spent our young years learning and laughing with Bill and his cast of characters until his riffs were forever referenced in our own lives. Not specific on the content because any heads up would detract from the pure natural flow of Cosby's familair and smile inducing style... Genius, talent or beauty lie in the eyes of he beholder, listener in this case and Cosby had all his chops on this recording.. Bravo!
