Finally a rapper who brings something new to the table. The influence of fellow Chicago rapper, Kanye West, is definitely present on tracks, but at the same time, it can't be denied that Really Doe shines on the mic as one of the most talented lyricist to come out in a very long time. This album shows a real creative genius; sampling tight flow and a unique style that draws on different types of beats. Really Doe shows that he's not afraid to sample tracks that originate from a wide range of musical influences, including, Rock n' Roll, Jazz, Pop and even some 70's radio classics. I appreciate the fact that in addition to each track sounding original, his lyrics sound fresh and inspired as well. He's not just rapping about smackin ho's, killin' folks and doing dope, his lyrics truly tell a story. I can't say enough about this guy - If you really love Hip Hop you should really check this album out!

I don't know where this guy came from, but he is TALENTED. An awesome album from start to finish. This is how 808s and Heartbreak COULD have sounded, raw, but at the same time with a production quality second to none.

I don't what it is about this album, but I didn't really like it. I bought it because it was 5.99 and ALL the listener reviews said it was great from start to finish. I must say to me, it really isn't. RD sounds kinda like he has never been in the studio or he hasn't learned to pace himself correctly while rhyming. His lyrics are pretty mediocore, definitely not comparable to KW, Jay or Weezy. I DO appreciate his style because it brings something diferent to the world of hip hop, although he does sound a bit like KW with his phrasing and the way he says some words. I don't like his style, just think it's ballsy to be different in today's game. The album is a cool buy, 5.99 for 16 full tracks, but I wouldn't get it if it was as much as "mainstream" albums. If you can, listen to it before you buy it if a friend has it.

Being a DJ, hip hop/rap is joke now a days. It seems that lables forgot about the artist and talent for a quick buck. ALmost every song now is a "candy" song, cute hook, no lyrical content what so ever. After listening to this album it is "A RAP ALBUM." It is clear that Really Doe lyrics are well delivered and clean...I recommend this album 110%.

Alot of the reviews are saying this guy is a "breath of fresh air" and its hard to disagree. This guy adds a feel of Lupe Fiasco mixed with some sick beats. If you like this, check out the group U-N-I. They've got some great songs with the same feel as this, just without a few boasters like Kanye to put them to the top. Overall a great album to cruise or chill to, Thumbs up for a buy!
