Not relevant for 20 years, then you decide to become political.

Don't get me wrong, I love Green Day. I think that American Idiot was probably their last good album tho, I honestly can't believe this is the band that made Dookie. 21 Guns is overrated.. I think the best song on this album is Murder City, just sayin.

I listened to this song after I was introduced to it and 5 stars all the way

This is one of the only albums that I could listen to all the way through without skipping a song.

I can’t stop thinking about it because it’s the first song I’ve heard that is really good I like it because it’s not like other songs. 👍

Through my high school years I wasn’t into music. I listened to a few top 40 picks and that was pretty much it. The first Green Day record I heard was Insomniac in middle school. Loved the record, and played it relentlessly. I heard American Idiot a few years later, and that opened my eyes to the world of punk rock. In 2015, I lost my house and lived out of hotels in Oakland California. I had just enough money at the time to buy 1 record. I walked into a record store and purchased 21st century breakdown. It was like all my emotions of anger and sorrow was being voiced through this album. I looked on iTunes, and I had played each song off this record; over 700 times throughout that time period. If wasn’t for this record, I would not be here today.
