As a guitar player and passionate Pat Metheny fan throughout the years, I have to say that this album is absolutely incredible. Wonderfully moving in the heart of music consciousness. I highly recommend this to all guitarists and fans of Pat's music. Thank you Jason for transferring the Love on this one. Peace.

I've listened to metheny ad nauseum. This album is amazing. I didn't even know some of those voicings were possible on a guitar. These arrangments are outstanding. To be able to capture the entire band on one instrument is one thing but to be able to produce all the chordal complexity when you're limited to 6 notes at a time is another. This is definitely a toolbox for a lot of guitar players and covers a lot of "new ground". It was nice to hear recognizable metheny melodies without the annoying metheny cliche riffs that we've all been burned out on for years.
  • Jason puts classical spin on Pat's tunes

Jason told his recording engineer about some arrangements he made while at the conservatory of Pat Metheny's music. Azica wanted to record them but Jason said he wanted Pat's permission. They soon met at a music festival when Pat was playing after Jason. Pat introduced himself & said he loved Jason's classical guitar virtuosity. Jason told Pat about his project idea & got an enthusiastic green light for the project. The results are so terrific that both Pat Metheny & Steve Rodby gave Jason blurbs for the back of the cd. Check out the medley arranged like a Bach lute or cello suite. Superb playing & interpretations of Pat's great tunes!
