I love Buffett's music and most of his lyrics. But I get my politics elsewhere. Taking cheap shot at Bush and Cheney would be all right if he did the same for Obama and Biden. Wait to Jimmy's taxes sky rocket. Give us yacht rock...let us decide our own politics.

This actually takes place this year. It was around Valentine's Day. Jimmy is amazing as always and I can't wait to hear these in concert this summer.

This album takes me back to the days when Jimmy would pop in for a quick set and then head to the bars in his pick up truck.Loved hearing "I heard I was in town" one of my favorites, performed Live from Key West. My only regret is that I was not in town... DH

After having seen him at the Glendale grand opening, this is a great example of what it's like. Great EP, just wish it had more. Phins Up!

Although short, its worth the money it costs. Jimmy's appearances at his Margaritaville Cafe's are typically short and only play a few songs, so I guess you can't expect too much more. His new song on this (A lot to Drink About) shows his great personality as well as the type of person he is! You will also enjoy the live video that comes along with this for his new song!
  • Only complaint- not enough songs!

This was recorded in Key West at Margaritaville in front of his lucky restaurant/bar customers. These rare shows aren't announced- they just lock the doors and Jimmy and Mac come out and play. The sound quality is excellent and this is must-have music for his fans. I would've given it 5 stars had there been somewhere around ten songs instead of three. If you're not a big fan and you think Jimmy might not be the best "singer" on the planet, understand that his music fits the style of Key West. If you don't like Buffett or his music, or you know only "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise", then you've probably never been to Key West. I was one of you until my wife took me to KW. After one day there in the sun and salty air surrounded by people who know how to be mellow but still have fun, I suddenly understood Buffett's entire catalog and became a huge fan. Do yourself a favor- go to KW, stay in a B&B in Old Town and walk around for a week. Try not to act like too much of a tourist. Don't spend all your time in the Margaritaville Bar, but hit the other places where you'll find musicians/entertainers which is how Jimmy started way-back-when. (My personal favorite is Rick's.) Wander around the whole island (it's small- leave your car behind) and down the sidestreets. Really take it all in. I guarantee that Jimmy's voice and songs will become music to your ears and soul.
