I think compilation albums I.e hits have their place but often are not a set like performance . This one is and I have always consider it a studio single album. Many groups have used old stuff ,so forget this is stuff from two years of recording and think of it as just a great recording.

Saw this group open for Rolling Stones at Hollywood Bowl 7/25/66 when I was a young 15 year old girl. Fell in Love with Stephen Stills Then and still Love his MUSIC!!!! Have all of These albums and see Crosby, Stills and Nash Whenever they are performing. Buffalo Springfield was/is one of the BEST groups Ever!!! Miss not seeing Richie Furay and Jim Messina. Have Poco albums too!

I am sure when I had this LP in college it had the long (9 minutes??) version of Bluebird. No idea why it's not on the LP now?

These guys were - and still are - so talented. The iTunes write-up failed to mention Jim Messina, who also went on to Poco and then Loggins & Messina. The song are so bright, tuneful, and comforting.
