This is sad because it's a good introduction to new music hipster Lang's work. Only Andrew Russo manages to keep the performance at a professional level. The shock of the collection was Ziporyn and Real Quiet's run through of the fractured variations Cheating, Lying, Stealing. Ziporyn just can't get Quiet to play with the same zeal and exactness as his Bang on a Can Allstars. You can get most of these pieces on this disc elsewhere where the performances will be sure to be top notch. But if you are already a Lang fan you will most likley get this anyway.
