This album, simply put, is amazing. The best versions of Crush, The Dreaming Tree, and Bartender to date. Having been at the Staples Center Concert the night of the Bartender recording, I only wish that they had included Dave's story about when he first met LeRoi, as it brought the entire stadium to tears. Definitely worth the purchase price!

Love the DMB, and there are some solid performances on here, but a lot of it is the same old same old. Where are the great covers they did this summer like Pink Floyd's Money? We don't get that, but yet another version of Tripping Billies? Seriously guys let's mix it up a little. But I will give them credit for Crush (WOW) and Dreaming Tree on here, easily the best live Crush I've heard and the Dreaming Tree is fantastic. Proudest Monkey is also excellent on here, that is such a good song. Not really a fan of So Damn Lucky so I usually skip that one, but the rest is a pretty good listen. Eh Hee is spectacular with Tim, be sure to give that one a listen too!

A great mix of songs! Bartender has a great solo in remembrance to LeRoi. Crush has a great solo as well. It’s a must buy album for all Dave fans and jam band freaks.

A solid collection of live offerings from the 2008 tour from DMB. I especially appreciate that the release contained some songs (PFWYG, Proudest Monkey, So Damn Lucky) that aren't featured heavily on the numerous other live releases from the band. For the remaining tracks, Crush benefits greatly from Tim Reynolds' added presence, especially with the jam near the end, and The Dreaming Tree shines as always. The standout track is, of course, Bartender from 8.19.08, which was the opening song of the show performed the day LeRoi Moore passed away. There is a deep undercurrent of emotion in the track which should resonate with anyone who is a fan of the band. The disc ends with a great version of Tripping Billies, and one of the few live releases available to feature the "Nature Intro." Overall, this release is more than worth the price. Even though the tracks were taken from different nights, it's mixed to sound like a live show -- with appropriate crowd noise blends and gapless song playback. A great listen on a drive or a quiet night in.

The Dave Matthews Band plays on after a devastating loss. After listening to these recordings, I think that anyone and everyone would like for them to continue.

this album is amazing. i was there at saratoga and the dreaming tree is my FAVORITE dave song. LOVE IT!!

DMB, they never get old. If you want to hear a excelent quality of Dreaming Tree, Bartender, and Crush this is worth the price alone. I think it is the best live Crush I have heard (at least that I know of) If im in the mood for either of these songs, this is the album I go to. Those three songs are worth it. Keep rockin Dave!

2008 was a bittersweet year for DMB and their fans. The 2008 summer tour was one of the band's best to date, as evidenced by this selection of tracks. At the same time, the band and its fans also said goodbye to founding member LeRoi Moore, who passed away due to complications following an ATV accident. This selection of tracks, includes some incredible performances from the 2008 summer tour. Some highlights include: So Damn Lucky - off of Dave's solo album, Some Devil, this song really was a standout from the tour. The Dreaming Tree - one of the last great performances including all five original members. I'm glad I was lucky enough to be there. Proudest Monkey - Never really been a fan of this song, but the band rocked it this year with Tim, Roi and Rashawn. Bartender - This album is worth buying for this track alone. This was the first song the band played on August 19th at the Staples Center, following the death of Moore earlier in the day. In my opinion, this is the most emotional performance the band has ever had. It is unbelievable and I can't imagine how Dave, Carter, Boyd, Stefan, Tim and Rashawn must've felt while performing that night. This is definitely a must-have for any fan of DMB, or anyone who attended one of their shows this summer.
